It is important to make sure that you have the right insurance cover. We have negotiated a policy with AXA Insurance. You may apply for this insurance by calling 08712 312295.
The following points are information we are required to tell you:
Policy Document:The Policy Document gives you full details of the cover and the conditions you must satisfy to be fully covered. This will be sent with your Holiday Invoice, which will show the type of cover you have chosen.
Health:The policy contains restrictions and conditions regarding pre-existing medical problems that you may have. You will not be covered fro any medical condition you have which you are taking prescribed medication or are waiting to receive, or have received treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations). Unless you have contacted AXA Insurance on 0845 345 2722 and AXA Insurance have agreed, in writing to cover you.
Conditions and Exclusions:There are conditions and exclusions that apply to individual sections of the policy and general conditions and exclusions that apply to the whole policy, for example war risks and terrorism.
Limits of Cover:Each section of the policy shows the most you can claim, but other limits may apply. For example under the Baggage & Passport section of the Gold Insurance the overall cover is £1500 but there is a lower limit for valuables and any one item £300. Please check your policy carefully to ensure you have adequate cover.
Policy Excess:You will have to pay excess on claims under most sections of the policy.
Looking After Your Belongings:You should take all reasonable care to protect your belongings. If you don't do this, your claim will not be paid.
Complaints:The policy contains a complaints procedure, which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make complaints.
Cooling Off Period:If you are dissatisfied with the policy or if the policy does not meet your needs, you may return it within 14 days of the date of issue and receive a refund of your premium in full provided you have not undertaken a trip. You must also not have a made or intend to make a claim.
Choice of Law:Your policy will be governed by the law of England and Wales unless AXA Insurance agree otherwise.
Data Protection:AXA Insurance UK PLC is a member of the AXA Group. To set up and administer your policy they will hold and use information about you supplied by you and by their medical assistance provides. They must send it in confidence for processing to other companies in the AXA Group (or companies acting on their instructions) including those located outside the European Economic Area.
