Full Itinerary

Day 1 - UK / Montreal
A daytime trans-atlantic flight departs from your chosen airport, to Montreal, where you are met on arrival and transferred to your overnight hotel.
Hotel: Maritime Plaza

Day 2 - Montreal / Quebec City
We spend the morning in Montreal with a tour of the island city - seeing the very French-influenced old town waterfront, the Notre Dame Basilica, Olympic Stadium and Mount Royal for its super views. This afternoon we head easterly towards Quebec City. This charming city overlooking the St. Lawrence is a delight. Perhaps you just want to amble through the quaint streets of this fascinating, beautiful walled city. Enjoy your evening at leisure in this French community.
Hotel: Gouverneur St Foy

Day 3 - Quebec City / Ottawa
The only walled city in North America, Quebec City’s upper and lower sectors are defined by the photogenic towers of the Chateau Frontenac. Narrow streets of 17th and 18th century buildings cling to the slopes of the Diamante headland from which Quebec City looks over the St.Lawrence. Spend time in the pavement cafes, old world inns and pretty parks of this provincial capital. Later we leave for the country’s capital, Ottawa, for a two night stay.
Hotel: Embassy West

Day 4 - Ottawa
Flanked by the flows of the Rideau Canal and Ottawa River, this is a graceful city of manicured parks, elegant architecture and almost British reserve. You have a full day here, perhaps to meet the Mounties on Parliament Hill, stroll along the tree-lined avenues or take a river boat trip out to the wealthy suburbs.

Day 5 - Ottawa / Niagara Falls
An early departure from the capital takes us past Thousand Island scenery and to a stop at the busy waterfront of 300-year old Kingston, positioned at the meeting point of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence. From here we follow the lake shore to make our way to Niagara Falls, arriving in time for a first glimpse of the cascade and an evening at leisure in the town. We spend two nights at our Niagara hotel.
Hotel: Oakes Overlooking the Falls

Day 6 - Niagara Falls
You have a full day here to experience the awesome power of the Falls and enjoy some of the exceptional optional sightseeing opportunities. Why not cruise with the famous Maid of the Mist through the all-drenching spray of the Horseshoe Falls? Visit the IMAX cinema for its fabulousFalls film shown on an 80 foot screen, and choose a restaurant for dinner in view of the illuminated cascade.

Day 7 - Niagara Falls / Toronto
A short drive back to Lake Ontario takes you from Canada's natural splendour to its largest and fastest growing city, Toronto. An included orientation tour shows you the futuristic Skydome Stadium, the attractively restored waterfront area of shops and restaurants, and the most imposing landmark - the 1,815ft CN Tower. Your evening is at leisure to catch the spirit of excitement in this vibrant cosmopolitan city. Why not plan for a dinner and theatre night?
Hotel: Strathcona

Day 8 - Toronto / Banff National Park
A mid-morning flight carries us to the prairie land of Calgary. From here we drive into the Bow Valley and the Banff area, our destination for a two night stay. Surrounded by mountain scenery, it is a pretty year-round mountain resort, with splendid sightseeing. Enjoy an evening at leisure in its bars and bistros.
Hotel: Banff International

Day 9 - Banff National Park
A day at leisure to explore the Banff area, relax at its cafe tables or choose between two ways of taking panoramic photographs. One excursion includes a tour to Sulphur Mountain taking the cable car to the top. You have time for lunch at the restaurant at the summit, a venue with uninterrupted views. The other is a helicopter tour that offers superb views over the entire area.

Day 10 - Banff / Jasper
A full day’s drive through breathtaking scenery and with memorable stops along the way. Our first is at magnificent Lake Louise, where pine clad slopes form the shoreline and snow-capped peaks a backdrop. Then it’s on to the Saskatchewan River Crossing for lunch, before climbing through the Columbia Icefields to see the unforgettable Athabasca Glacier. The beautiful Athabasca Falls are our final stop before completing the journey to the heart of the Rockies at Jasper, where we stay for two nights.
Hotel: Marmot Lodge

Day 11 - Jasper
A day at leisure here could be spent experiencing the mountain village atmosphere or filled with one or both of our optional tours. The first is a trip to Lake Maligne and a cruise on its waters to Spirit Island. The other is a gentle float on a large river raft down the Athabasca, passing the wonderful woodland scenes for which Jasper is renowned.

Day 12 - Jasper / Sun Peaks
Landmark sights litter the journey today as we make the descent to Sun Peaks. The Yellowhead Highway takes us to the highest peak of the Rockies, Mount Robson. With the Thompson River and the Monashee Mountains for company, we continue to a lunch stop at Clearwater and a photo-stop at Spahats Falls before reaching Sun Peaks for an overnight stay on Tod Mountain.
Hotel: Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge

Day 13 - Sun Peaks / Vancouver
We're westward bound on the Coquihalla Highway today, to complete the final leg of our Trans-Canadian journey and to meet the Pacific Ocean at its Vancouver shore. We stop enroute in the town of Hope, and arrive in Vancouver in time for an included city sightseeing tour. The Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Gastown and Chinatown are on the agenda - to give you your bearings for individual exploration. The last two nights of the tour are in Vancouver.
Hotel: Century Plaza Hotel

Day 14 - Vancouver
A final full day at leisure to stroll through the cobbled streets of Gastown, enjoy the oriental air of large and lively Chinatown, shop in the upmarket boutiques and stores, or call at Capilano to cross its century-old suspension footbridge. You could also opt to add another city to your classic Canadian journey with a tour by ferry to Vancouver Island to visit the beautiful Butchart Gardens and English style Victoria.

Day 15 - Vancouver / UK
At leisure until time to transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK, direct to London Heathrow or stopping at Toronto on the Glasgow and Manchester routes.

Day 16 -Return Landing
Morning arrival at your chosen UK airport - times vary.
