toward St. Louis. We cross the farmlands of Illinois, visiting the state capital of Illinois - Springfield - where

restaurants, and other such diversities as the mosaics of the basilica. The remainder of the day is at leisure to lap
up St. Louis' love affair with the mighty Mississippi and listen to ragtime jazz along the river bank.
Day 5 - St. Louis / Springfield
We leave the jazz city of St.Louis behind today and head out further through this historic state to Springfield,
Missouri. Firstly we will make a stop in Stanton at the Meremac Caverns. Set beneath the picturesque valley of Meremac,
these spectacular formations come with a colourful history. After arriving in Springfield you will have time to relax
