South Western Explorer Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - UK / Scottsdale
A day time flight to Scottsdale is the first part of your journey that will take you to one of the Southwest’s premier resort locations. You will be met upon arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2 - Scottsdale
Today we spend a full day visiting Tucson, home to the early Spanish explorers and missionaries, with a look into the southwest’s historical past through re-enactments at the famous OK Coral, exploring Native Americans archaeological homeland sites and learning about the impact mining had on Western towns. Our afternoon is spent at Old Tucson Studios where you get to experience day in the life of these old Hollywood heroes and walk the rugged streets in their boot steps. From daring cowboy gunfights and stunts to rip-roarin' musical revues and comedies, Old Tucson offers exciting Old West entertainment.

Day 3 - Scottsdale / Grand Canyon / Scottsdale
Today we leave Scottsdale for a day at the Grand Canyon, travelling through Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon to see one of the natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon. This powerful landscape is 277 river miles long, 18 miles wide and 1 mile deep and has have captivated tourists for centuries. You will have the opportunity to experience an optional helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon which will give you a stunning birds eye view of this majestic place. We leave late in the afternoon for our return journey to Scottsdale.

Day 4 - Scottsdale / Palm Springs
Leaving Arizona this morning we journey to California and the sun kissed destination of Palm Springs, our destination for the next three nights. After checking in to the hotel the rest of the day is yours to explore all that this small city with urban charm has to offer. With its one-way strip lined with antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants, you'll soon spot something that catches your eye.

Day 5 - Palm Springs
Today, join us on your included Aerial Tram Ride of beautiful Palm Springs creates an experience to travel up 8,500 feet from the Valley Station at Chino Canyon the Mountain Station on Long Range ridge. Once at the top there are picnic spots and observation decks as well as breathtaking panoramic views.

Day 6 - Palm Springs
Another day in paradise, with plenty of time to relax by the pool and soak up that amazing sun, take in a game of golf at one of the 100 courses in the area or leave all of your cares behind while basking in a luxurious trip to a spa.

Day 7 - San Diego
As we leave Palm Springs we say hello to San Diego, California’s second largest city, where we will be for the remainder of your visit. Bordered by miles of beaches, lush mountains, Mediterranean climate and the Pacific Ocean, you are sure to enjoy all that this city has to offer. On arrival we embark on a city tour taking us around to some amazing sites such as the Gaslamp District, Embarcadero, Old Town, Balboa Park and La Jolla.

Day 8 - San Diego
Today is your day to bask in the sunshine, go back to some of your favourite sites of yesterday or discover new ones. You have Tijuana, Mexico a short 30 minutes away where you can vacation to the land of many colours, margaritas, and leather goods. For those who would rather have a more relaxing day, Coronado is a short tram ride over the bridge where you will find miles of beaches and restaurants for every desire.

Day 9 - San Diego
Your last day in San Diego may be spent down by the harbour side of Seaport Village where you can take a cruise on the water, eat fresh seafood, or take a historic trip aboard the Midway Battleship.

Day 10 - San Diego / Los Angeles / UK
Some time for last minute souvenir shopping before we transfer back to Los Angeles in time for your overnight flight to the UK.

Day 11 - Return Landing
Morning arrival at your chosen UK airport. Times vary.
