The Texan Ranger Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Dallas
A non-stop flight to Dallas is the first leg of this incredible journey, the gateway to the
‘black-gold’ lands of Texas. You are met on arrival in Dallas and transferred
to your hotel for a 3 night stay. The rest of your day is at leisure to get acquainted with
this city.

Day 2 - Dallas
This morning embark on a city tour of Dallas, an impressive cityscape in the heart of cowboy
country. This tour will take us to the Historical Plaza, City Hall, Farmer’s Market and the
John F. Kennedy Memorial. We will also visit Dealey Plaza, the fateful route of the
President’s motorcade, as well as the book depository from which Lee Harvey Oswald took
aim and fired. The rest of your day is at leisure to further explore the city at your own pace,
sampling, perhaps, the trendy entertainment district, leading arts scene, or the endless shopping
opportunities.

Day 3 - Dallas
Today we leave Dallas behind and head out for a day trip to Fort Worth for a visit to the famous
Stockyards where you will take an historic walking tour. This evening join us for an optional
excursion to South Fork Ranch, home of the famous T.V. show “Dallas.” Here you will
experience the best of the Old West and the New Texas. Dinner is served from authentic chuckwagons
and fiddlers entertain you with campfire songs.

Day 4 - Dallas / San Antonio
We leave Dallas today and journey to San Antonio. Before making our way to our hotel, we stop
at the Sophienburg Museum in the New Braunfels area before heading to the Natural Bridge
Caverns. The natural bridge is a fascinating limestone formation, while stalagmites and
stalactites within the caverns resemble a royal throne and an elaborate chandelier. Before
arriving at your hotel, no visit to San Antonio would be complete without a visit to the
Alamo. Originally named Mission San Antonio the Alamo served as a home to missionaries and
their Indian converts for nearly seventy years. The rest of the day is yours to explore all
that picturesque San Antonio has to offer such as the River Walk restaurants and shops or
perhaps to take a barge ride on the river. If you want panoramic views of this great city
don’t miss out on the Tower of the Americas.

Day 5 - San Antonio / Bandera
A short drive today takes us to Bandera and the Mayan Dude Ranch, our home for the next 2
nights. This family run Western-style ranch boasts picturesque trails through the lowlands
of central Texas. With a combination of outdoor activities such as daily trail rides,
evening entertainment, the comfort of three home cooked meals a day, and wine and beer
before and after your dinner, you are sure to have a fantastic ranching experience.

Day 6 - Bandera
Enjoying another day on the ranch, perhaps take a ride up the summit for a spectacular
sundowner, or cool off in the outdoor pool or the Medina River that runs close by. Join
the world of the Wild West and become the Cowboy you have always wanted to become and then
sit in the hot tub back at the Ranch to soak up the ambience after a hard day’s ride.

Day 7 - Bandera / Houston
Leaving Bandera behind we depart for Houston, the fourth largest city in America. Upon
arrival we will undertake a tour of the city, visiting such sights as the Astrodome sports
stadium, Historical Park, Old Market Square, and Post Oak Galleria- with 300 retail and food
outlets. We then check in to the hotel for the next 3 nights.

Day 8 - Houston
Today is at your leisure to further explore all that the Houston, and its impressive cityscape,
has to offer. You may also like to experience an optional excursion to Galveston Island which
has entranced visitors for decades. Home to powerful merchants and pirates alike, Galveston
offers award winning hospitality, historic art and entertainment for everyone.
Day 9 - Houston
No visit to Houston would be complete without a visit to Space Centre Houston, the official
visitor’s center of NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, and that is our destination
today. Here we have the opportunity to experience interactive exhibits, take a tram tour, and see
presentations about the history of NASA’s manned space programme, including the ill fated
Apollo 13.
Day 10 - Houston / Dallas / UK
We bid farewell to Houston as we travel back to Dallas where you have time for some last minute
shopping before transferring to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
Day 11 - Return Landing
