Itinerary 2013

Car

Days 1-2 - Boston

Spend two days exploring this beautiful historic city with its stunning views.

Accommodation - Midtown Hotel or similar

Day 3 - Boston to Mid Coast Maine (115 miles)

Travel north to the coast of Maine and visit the charming Old Port Exchange for great food, drinks and shopping!

Accommodation - Best Western Merry Manor or similar

Days 4-5 - Mid Coast Maine to Bar Harbor Area (160 miles)

Drive to the entrance of the Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island. While you are in Bar Harbor why not cruise the Atlantic in search of the whales, explore the mountain trails in the park or simply take in the scenery.

Accommodation - Wonder View Inn or similar

Days 6-7 - Bar Harbor Area to White Mountains (250 miles)

In the White Mountains visit historic Mt. Washington. Take the Conway Scenic Railroad or head to the Lakes Region.

Accommodation - Lodge at Lincoln Station or similar

Days 8-9 - White Mountains to Northern Vermont (130 miles)

Whilst in Vermont, tour the world famous Ben & Jerry?s ice cream factory, explore the Green Mountains or take time out to visit the traditional New England villages.

Day 10 - Northern Vermont to Western Massachusetts (175 miles)

Today you will head into the Berkshire Hills. Stop off in Manchester Village, summer home to the Boston Symphony or Stockbridge, once home to Norman Rockwell.

Accommodation - Hampton Inn West Springfield or similar

Days 11-12 - Western Massachusetts to Newport (130 miles)

Visit Old Sturbridge Village, Mystic and the largest Seaport Museum in America. In Newport spend time on the beach or head along the coast and see the amazing mansions that dot the coastline.

Accommodation - Howard Johnson Newport or similar

Days 13-14 - Newport to Cape Cod (75 miles)

Relax on the sandy beaches or go whale watching out on the ocean. A day trip to the beautiful islands of Nantucket or Martha?s Vineyard is well worth it.

Accommodation - Holiday Inn Hyannis or similar

Day 15 - Cape Cod to Boston (75 miles)

Return to Boston Airport in time for your homeward flight.
